Our economy 12V battery kit, suitable for emergency backup, or small households on a budget. The 12AH lithium iron phosphate battery will run 3-4 lights and charge phones at night. Laptops and other electronics should be charged during the day.
This kit has an expected lifespan of 7-10 years, significantly less than our Iron Sun kits. Initial investment is much lower, however, and the lithium battery does not require any maintenance (unlike nickel iron batteries which require watering once per month). Because lithium batteries are damaged by deep cycling, the system will shut off completely when the voltage drops below a certain point, to protect the battery.
